England's new landlord register opens on 15 December 2026. Landlords letting homes on an assured or regulated tenancy (most private lets) must register each property on GOV.UK's "Register your rental property" service by their region's deadline, between 14 March 2027 and 14 November 2027. The announced fee is £65 per property a year. Check your council's dates: https://letbinder.co.uk/deadline/

Please keep the GOV.UK service name as it is. Letbinder is an independent app, not the government's service.

An offer for your members or clients

Letbinder is an app for landlords with one to ten properties: a checklist for each property, their certificates kept on the phone, reminders, and a PDF pack to keep beside them as they fill in the GOV.UK form. It's coming to iPhone and Android in early 2027. Partners' members or clients get three months free on top of the 7-day trial at launch. Email hello@letbinder.co.uk and we'll set up your code.

Tell us what you'd like

Want a page for your area, a short piece for your newsletter, or a talk for a landlord meeting? Email hello@letbinder.co.uk. If you'd rather point landlords only to GOV.UK, we completely understand.

Please note. Letbinder is not the government's service and is not affiliated with GOV.UK. It doesn't register you, and it isn't legal advice. The start dates come from the draft regulations and the deadlines from GOV.UK's published timetable; a separate commencement order will switch the rules on. Any of them could change before the rules are final.
