Is Letbinder the government's register?

No. The register is GOV.UK's "Register your rental property" service. Letbinder helps you get ready for it and keeps you on top of renewals. It doesn't register you, and it isn't legal advice.

Which region am I in?

Your region is set by the council area the property is in, as listed in the draft regulations. Letbinder works it out from the postcode. If your postcode is near a boundary, the app tells you; the council you pay Council Tax to decides.

Where are my documents kept?

Only on your phone, in the app's own storage. They're included in your phone's backup if you've turned that on. We never see them, so we can't recover them if your phone is lost without a backup.

Moving to a new phone

Restore your new phone from your iCloud or Google backup, then open Letbinder and tap Restore purchases on the plans screen to bring back your plan.

Cancelling your plan

On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing.

Deleting your data

Delete a property in the app (at the bottom of its page), or delete the app to remove everything from your phone. To be removed from the waitlist, email us.

Something's wrong with a date or a rule

Please tell us. The regulations are still a draft, and we update the dates when they change.
